Meet the Founder

From Then to Now

Brittany, was born in a rural farming community in Illinois on April 2 but at a very young age moved to Indiana with her parents. During the next 11 years Brittany was involved in a number of activities but her most enjoyable experience was the time she spent as a Girl Scout. She was acknowledged as a young leader and top cookie seller for three years in a row. Just before she started 6th grade her family moved again, this time to Canada.  It was at that time when she started to explore the world of fashion and design her own 8th grade graduation dress. Brittany's family left Canada three years later and moved to Tennessee.  She attended High School and was a member of DECA, French Club and played Powder Puff Football.  One of her greatest moments was in 2007 when being crowned Dream Girls USA Miss Tennessee, and competing in St. Louis MO for the National title.

After graduation, Brittany wanted to truly experience student life so she attended University and rushed Kappa Delta. She realized fashion was her calling and decided to transfer to O’More College of Design where she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. That is when she hit her stride.

Brittany can be descried as young, energetic, and possesses a strong work ethic as demonstrated by her ability to maintain two part-time jobs while excelling academically. While enrolled at O’More she made the Dean’s List four semesters, Presidents List two semesters, received an Academic and Portfolio Scholarship. She also served as the schools Ambassador for two years, was the Treasurer for Student Government and the Fashion Association.

Brittany spent the summer of her junior year abroad, where she traveled throughout Russia and Scandinavia. There she as inspired by their use of color and geometric shapes which ultimately gave her the vision for her senior collection.

This young adult is currently living in Georgia. Even though she has a full time job, currently not in fashion, Brittany still makes time to design and sew BMC originals.
